The SDL is designed to accelerate the development of the youth player who desires to play select soccer. The concept is straight forward: provide players attending Select Club Academies with the opportunity to play in an organized league that maintains a high standard of play, officiating and flexibility with a focus on quality not quantity.

The 2009 spring season has seen a tremendous increase in participation. The league grew by approximately 50% from the fall. Even with the tremendous increase in the number of teams, the League remains committed to working with academy programs to provide the best outdoor league environment that will foster the development of all participants. The SDL wishes to thank all the clubs and teams for their participation and support of the league.
